Update: I’m wrong. Well, coincidences are fun! That was fun. Cliff Bleszinski replied to our tweet with a fairly concrete denial. @LevelSave No — Cliff Bleszinski (@therealcliffyb) May 23, 2017 Original story below… I spent most of my day today reading about the Seven Great Wonders of the World. Of course, you can’t browse Wikiepedia without visiting half of the pages that branch off your article. Mythology, myths, laws, and other things I...
Did you know Marcus Fenix’s last name grew out of Cliff Bleszinksi’s complete loss in his failed first marriage, thus making Gears of War his rise from the ashes? What about the fact that the picture of Dom and Maria from the Gears 2 Special Edition being based on Cliff and his girlfriend at the time? You definitely didn’t know that before pitching Gears of War to Microsoft Cliff did pushups in his hotel room and listened to “Lose Yourself” by...

Our new protagonist is a young blonde man named JD. Searching through a Seran wasteland with unique lighting and beautiful graphics, our characters are looking for something. A locust of some sort? Maybe a wretch? It’s unclear as to where exactly this takes place in the timeline, although judging by the title, it’s happening after Gears 3. The gibs are strong and the gore is extreme, as you’d expect. The enemy is something we’ve never seen before, and...

Gears of War is a personal favorite of mine – Gears of War 2 was the first game I ever owned at launch for the Xbox 360 (with Mercenaries 2 being the only thing I owned before that.) so to say that I’m invested in the series is a bit of an understatement. My Xbox 360 is a limited edition Gears of War flavor, I own the limited edition of Gears of War 2, the Epic Edition of Gears of War 3, as well as the replica retro lancer. Overall, I think I’ve invested...
Apparently we have more Gears of War coming our way. Recently Rod Fergusson tweeted that, unfortunately, there will be no collection centered around Marcus Fenix coming anytime soon. Although, he did mention that in fact Black Tusk is working on other Gears of War projects, plural. I love the passion, but there’s no Marcus Fenix Collection. We ARE working on other exciting Gears projects. I’ll see you at E3! — Rod Fergusson (@GearsViking) March 19, 2015 Kind of...
