Announced today, Gears of War: Judgment will be getting a “VIP Season Pass” entitling purchasers to a whole boatload of content. Players who purchase the 1600 Microsoft Point pass will receive a permanent double XP boost to multiplayer (seems like an easy way to rank up), early access to two game add-on packs which will include six multiplayer maps and two game modes – three and one in each pack, with early access coming presumably a few days before they go...
Console Sales Console Exclusives Xbox 360: Like Halo the generation before it, Gears of Wars has been the killer IP that has driven the Microsoft 1st party sales more than any other in this generation. Gears has been the king of the cover-based 3rd person shooter genre and has been a trendsetter for other developers. RPG fans had a few things to sink their teeth into, Fable was a revered series until its later stages and the Mass Effect Series was exclusive up until...
Well, well, well, it’s been a long time since we’ve had our last gamernight hasn’t it? With the highly anticipated Gears of War Judgment coming out soon, I figured we would brew some more hype with a very fun gamernight together! We’ll also be doing some gaming on Grand Theft Auto IV later in the night, just to mix things up. All the details are listed below… and did I mention there will be prizes? Epic just released the new ViDoc detailing all of the new and returning multiplayer modes for the upcoming blockbuster. Epic really must have been listening to the fans on this one, as not only are all the game modes we know and love returning, but also adding a few new ones. The new trailer also shows what looks to be custom armor skins on the soldiers, another sign that Epic is listening to fans on what they want. Below the trailer is a full synopsis of everything that...
Trailers have become somewhat of a standard for games nowadays, they’re truly the first glimpse into a games soul, and if they aren’t good, chances are no one will even glance at your game.
Chris Wynn, Senior Producer on Epic Games’ team for Gears of War has just announced the upcoming blockbuster Gears of War Judgment – my most anticipated game of 2013 – has officially gone gold and is on it’s way to fans everywhere. “Going Gold” is the term in the games industry for when a video game is completely finished and sent to the big video game disc printer in the sky. From there it’s printed on millions of discs and sent to...
Twenty-Thirteen. The year hasn’t given us many hints on what games it may hold for us, but there’s already quite a good list of it’s releases. It took me quite a bit of thought to organize this list, simply because of the fact that while we don’t know everything that will be coming our way this year, we do know quite a lot.
While the last Gears of War featured a public beta months in advance, Gears of War Judgment does not. Epic Games announced another partnership with GameStop, in which those who pre-order Judgment will not only receive Classic Marcus and a Lambent Lancer Skin, but also three days of early access to Gears of War Judgment’s OverRun mode demo. All XP earned in these three days will also carry over to the full game when it hits store shelves March 19th. So, let’s break it...
Epic and People Can Fly have released the next trailer for the upcoming Gears of War: Judgement, detailing a new Smart Spawn System (S3 for short), a new ‘declassified’ mission objective for the campaign, the new “Rager” enemy, as well as a few other kick-ass looking things. I’ve always been a fan of Gears of War, so this trailer has me even more pumped then I already was. Epic also announced that those who purchase Gears of War: Judgement new...
Pre-orders for Gears of War Judgment went live last week. Every pre-order for GoW Judgement comes a Classic Hammerburst, no matter where you pre-order it. It’s not just the skin, but the actual in-game weapon. Different retailers are offering different character skins for pre-ordering through them though. The skins that are being used to leverage pre-orders are Young Marcus, Young Dom, Anya and Alex Brand. Young Dom can be obtained through a pre-order with Amazon...
