The Humble Indie Bundle 11 is Awesome

Written by Chris Lock

The Humble Indie Bundles often range from amazing to mediocre with several sitting at average. This time, however, the offer is tilting heavily on awesome. The games included are:

Guacamelee! Gold Edition – I reviewed this on PS3 and Vita and loved it. It was actually my 6th Platinum trophy. James reviewed it for PC and as his tagline suggests, you should bring a controller for the PC port.

Dust: An Elysian Tail – I also had the privilege of reviewing this on Xbox 360. There it was phenomenal and, assuming you bring a controller, should be phenomenal on PC as well.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – James reviewed this one as well. He gave it an 8, which I take to mean that he liked it. Here is a quote from said review: “For all of its visual appeal and interesting gameplay, Giana Sisters can be a very challenging game at times. It is not unforgivably challenging, but does not simply let the player cakewalk through its levels on their first try.”

It should be noted that this game is only available on PC.

The Swapper: Unfortunately I have no review to link to. Instead I have a silly anecdote: I bought this game in the latest Steam Sale with money obtained exclusively through selling Steam Trading Cards.

The other games require a purchase the “beats the average” which is currently $4.37.

 Antichamber –

Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine – Kenny reviewed this game not long ago. Here is a quote: “The best thing one can say about Monaco, is that it is a seriously fun game to play without taking itself too seriously. It is one that is simple to play, yet difficult-although not impossible-to pull off the heists with 100% completion scores.”

Along with the games you also receive the soundtracks for all of them. The Guacamelee! Soundtrack alone is worth the price of admission. The unsung beauty of this bundle is that most of these games run extremely easy on a PC, even if you do not have a beefy tower. Keep an eye on our twitter as we will likely be giving away a few bundles in the coming days. Or you can go buy them for a song here.
