Getting a Black Screen from Xbox One After the Latest Update?

Written by Barry Villatoro

Well hopefully you are not, but I definitely did last night. The black screen happens not too long after start up. I hit my home button during a game of Titanfall and the screen went black. You can still hear everything that is going on, just can’t see anything. Apparently many Xbox One users have experienced this as well, since there’s a nice long post on the Xbox ForumsIt seems it mostly happens when going home from a game.

There is a quick way to fix the black screen after it happens. Simply hold the power button for 10 seconds then turn your Xbox One back on. Tada! All done. Actually it happened one more time to me, but haven’t had a problem since. Good thing Microsoft pushed the update back to make sure all the bugs were worked out, right?
