At PAX East this year Volition showed off Saint’s Row 4. But not everyone could attend, so the gameplay demo has been released with commentary. Several things are shown off including the Zen, a monster truck, and my personal favorite, the Dubstep Gun.
I am a bit worried as to how much of Saint’s Row 4 is being shown. Part of the fun of Saint’s Row 3 was the constant surprise. Diving down a rabbit hole of escalating silliness is why I loved that game so very, very deeply. And going into a game with high expectations, and having possibly already seen most of what it has to offer, is a recipe for disappointment and resentment. So hopefully these videos are just scratching the surface and not showing us the “Dekkers.Die” style of surprises.
