A universal “finally” was heard across the internet today as release date info for the anticipated Little Big Planet Vita was given. Or maybe that “finally” was just me screaming it off a mountaintop very loudly. Either way excited Americans can expect to see the game on September 25th while our buddies in the UK will see the game on the 19th. Japan will be receiving the game on the 20th; I’m pretty sure they are excited too.
Little Big Planet Vita is shaping up to be one of the must have games for the console. It also looks to be one of the most ambitious LBP titles yet. With the introduction of touch controls, six axis input, and tools like the Memorizer; LBP Vita is going to let you create the most expansive games and levels to date. The Memorizer, for those that do not know, is a tool that allows you to save some data from your previous level and carry it into others, meaning that you could create a full scale 80 hour RPG if you so desired. I am particularly excited because going mobile will eliminate the biggest problem with LBP, sitting in front of my TV for hours on end staring at a simple logic problem. Now I can take that logic problem on the go and fix those issues where all great thinking is supposed to happen, on the John.
Are you excited for LBP Vita? Do you have any creations planned for the game already? Let us know in the comments.
Our own Adam Shear had some time with the LBP beta as well so check that out for more thoughts on LBP Vita.
This is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get a PS3/Vita. I have heard amazing stories about LBP and was told that I was missing out on one of the best games of the generation.
I really hope the hype is true because come September, I am picking this up for sure.
