What is Core Blaze?

Written by Raven Poplar

Core Blaze is a new MMORPG experience being developed by RedGate Studio to be released on a Free to Play model some time in 2013. With heavy Eastern influences, this game will be an action-oriented MMORPG. Huge, beautiful, horrific enemies fill the screen and the character with dread as your party works together to take whittle their health down to a managable level.

Core Blaze’s main features include dynamic environments which change depending on a huge variety of factors, including the interactions of the player characters with the environment and a dynamic weapons system which forgoes the regular set class systems that most MMOs utilize (think of the weapons themselves as the classes, so you can change your skillset at any time.) Four weapon types are found in Core Blaze so far: Sword and Shield for defense, Greatsword for up close damage, Long Bow for ranged dps, and Dual Blades for unleashing a series of lethal attacks in a row. So prepare to have a varied and well-rounded game experience while exploring the peaks and valleys of this indomitable world.

Heavy use of customization to achieve the greatest possible effectiveness in combat is required to survive, even with a full, four-character party. Even the PVP will have the characters using a team-based, tactical approach or suffer death at the hands of their rivals. There is no word yet on which articles and boons will be available for purchase in the inevitable microtransation in-game store, so we’ll have to see whether players will simply be able to buy top-tier character or not. That being said, this game looks exciting from top to bottom and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it.

  • This sounds and looks great BUT, with so many mmo’s coming out that aren’t any good coupled with that fact that most fail to create a community, I am very skeptical.

    • I think that one of the things you mention might be a direct consequence of the other. It really takes something fresh and different to get people playing any particular MMO.
