What are we giving away? We’ll tell you.

Written by Barry Villatoro

Hey what’s up everyone. Sometimes we have multiple giveaways going in different areas. Anywhere from Twitter to our podcasts or review posts. So when we have multiple giveaways going either myself or Austin will try to get a post out for you guys. Without further ado, here are some of the games we’re giving away and how to enter:

Shank 2 on XBLA: Our podcast Save Game+ is giving away a code for this game. To enter you need to listen to the podcast and enter the secret word into the Rafflecopter widget that will be included in the next Save Game+ post, Monday morning… hopefully.

Nexuiz on XBLA: Both of our podcasts, Reflections on a Save Crystal and Save Game+ are each giving away a code for this game. Listen to upcoming episodes to find out how to win. Subscribe to our podcasts in iTunes here or RSS here.

Sine Mora on XBLA: Read Raven’s review of this XBLA Exclusive, comment and then go to the “Win Sine Mora on Xbox Live Arcade” post.

I know, I know. A lot of XBLA stuff and not much for the PS3 fans. Well how about Split Second and J.A.S.F. on PS3, brand new retail versions? Or even better a Playstation Vita?

The Vita is a Wi-Fi model with an 8gb memory card, screen protector, carrying case, and even a game. The game is TBD. Also as a disclaimer, the Vita is a review unit, so it has been opened and very slightly used. It has also been completely formatted, handheld and memory card both. But it will be delivered in it’s original packaging.

How should we giveaway the PS3 games and Vita? We’re undecided so why don’t you tell us or give us some ideas? Post in the comments, we’re listening!

As always we give away codes on our Twitter as well, follow us to keep up with the games we’re gaming, the review we’re doing and the giveaways we’re having!

  • I’d like to subscribe to your podcast … but it’s not formatted correctly for the Zune app to suck in your podcasts. Sorry, but not all of us want to use iTunes.

    • You’re right and that’s why were getting them on Zune very soon. You can always listen to them directly from the site or download the mp3 directly as well.

  • Contest idea:Maybe ask people to read an article or a review. Then, post a question and have them answer through Rafflecopter widget and in the comments. Also, have them retweet the article link.

  • As for specific contest ideas….maybe a time trial tournament or contest on a platform game?
Feel like a drawing would be too easy of a win for a Vita, gotta make em work for it. :)

  • For the PS Vita, you should have an activity each day for your readers to do. Each activity they complete, they get a point. It could be a week long competition and something that we may have to do is one day Write 3 REAL comments on 3 different articles and send you the links of the articles we commented on. For that day, anyone who does it, gets a point. The next day if you have any sponsor sites or you want get a site free marketing and publicity, you can make an activity saying go over to that site and get 3-5 friends to sign up. Make it something worth working for, I mean, IT IS A PS VITA lol.

To determine a winner, whomever has the most points win! If it’s a tie, then have them duke it out on a game (MW3, or a shooter) that allows Free-For-All. You can make it the winner of that game or Best 2 out of 3. =] Hope this helps.

    • We’re really liking this point system so far. This may be what we end up going with.

  • I don’t have a specific contest idea in mind but I think the bigger prizes should have contests that actually require some effort and maybe require you to read some articles and reviews. The problem with the raffle and simple question type contests is that you will have people who hear about the contest and how easy it is to enter and they will quickly enter the contest but never actually check out the site.

    • Usually the twiiter giveaway only happen when we’re given multiple codes by a publisher. And you’re right, the Vita will take the winner some effort of some kind to win. No RT and follow for something that awesome.
