Ubisoft Reveals Amazing New IP, Watch Dogs

Written by Austin Griffith

At Ubisoft’s E3 2012 Conference moments ago they showed off a new IP by the name of “Watch Dogs.” Watch Dogs follows Aiden Pierce who uses his “fists and wits” to hack into the windy city of Chicago’s infastructure and jam cell phones, radios, electronics, and stop lights, all leading to extremely intuitive gameplay.

Jonathin Morin from Ubisoft Montreal showed off a gameplay demo of the game, which followed Aiden through a section of the windy city of Chicago in which he hacked televisions, phones, and traffic lights to cause a thirty car pile up to get to his target.

We also saw a QR Code in the demo that led to http://dotconnexion.ubi.com/, a site related to the in-game night club.

We’ll have new gameplay videos and picture assets coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.

No word as to what format we’ll be playing this on, but chances are we’ll be trying Watch Dogs on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
