After a bit of a leak weeks ago, Ubisoft took to the LA Theater and officially announced Rayman Legends during their E3 2012 press conference. Rayman Legends for Wii U is the sequel to Rayman Origins. The game will take advantage of the Wii U GamePad for touch and tilt based gameplay experiences. The game can be played on your TV or exclusively on the GamePad. The game takes place in a medieval themed environment and marks the return of Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies. Rayman Legends will allow for five player co-op. Four players will use either Wii Remotes or Wii U Controller Pro controllers while a fifth player uses the GamePad. The player on the GamePad can use touch and tilt controls to help guide the other four players who play as characters on screen. There will also be online leaderboards for players to see how fast they are beating certain challenges. The game uses an updated version of the UbiArt engine which includes multi-dimensional gameplay. Stay tuned to LevelSave to hear more about Rayman Legends.
