Sonic Adventure 2 Sprints into HD This Fall

Written by Adam Shear

While many fans were excited that the original Sonic Adventure was remade in HD last year, fans were also hoping that one of the Sega Dreamcast’s swan songs, Sonic Adventure 2, would also make it to consoles in HD. Today, Sega has finally confirmed that an HD remake of Sonic Adventure 2 will make it to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this Fall.

If you don’t remember or have never played Sonic Adventure 2 before, the game has two different story lines featuring one with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and another featuring the dark Shadow the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman, and Rouge the Bat. The HD remake will be based off the Dreamcast version of the game, not the Nintendo GameCube port Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Sonic Adventure 2’s HD remake will feature leader boards, achievements, trophies, and more. Look forward to more news on this great HD remake as it arrives. As someone who’s first Sonic game ever was Sonic Adventure 2, I couldn’t be more excited to escape from the city and play through this adventure once again.
