Open World Star Wars Game In Development

Written by Matt Curione

We’ve all known for a few months now that Electronic Arts has the video game rights to Star Wars, well nerds, it’s time to start drooling. Uncovered by Kotaku, a job listing by EA Canada says “EA Canada is looking for an experienced Animation director to help define and deliver on the vision for a major new next gen open world action game.”

20131127-141411.jpgApparently a joint venture between EA Canada and Visceral Games, who was named by EA to make a Star Wars entry, this is only the second known EA Star Wars game that we know about. The other of course being the highly anticipated Battlefront follow-up that fans have been wanting for years. Sadly, this also points to the public never getting their hands on any version of Star Wars 1313, the heavily hyped Boba Fett game that was teased for a long time, yet cancelled when LucasArts shut their doors earlier this year.

Excited for the prospect of this game? Don’t care about Star Wars at all? Drop us a line and let us know, your fellow nerds are listening.
