Sometimes miracles do happen. Case in point: Duke Nukem 3D on the Vita. While this may not be a miracle for you, its is nothing short of a blessing from above for me. It is somewhat akin to the amazing spoon you never knew you wanted. You have used spoons before, you understand how spoons work, heck, you might even go so far as to say you enjoy spoons. Then this new spoon comes along, it has the same design of old spoons but is somehow “different.” This spoon has all the old functions, it can scoop, cut soft foods, is a great catapult, and stands up great in mashed potatoes, but now it is mobile.

Let me blow your mind, Duke Nukem 3D on the Vita, is that spoon. I should write movies.

Devolver Digital recently tweeted out a picture of Duke Nukem 3D running on the Vita. There are no details and no word on when details will be available. The assumption is that this is the Megaton Edition recently released on steam, which I also bought. This edition is packed with the main Duke Nukem 3D game and the two expansions Life’s a Beach and Duke it out in D.C., the latter of which has you storming the White House and promptly kicking the aliens out. Take that Saints Row 4!

This, if it was not obvious, excited me from a personal standpoint. Duke Nukem 3D holds a special place in my heart and having the full game on the go shudders my heart.
