Just a few days ahead of E3 2015, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics has graced us with another preview for their upcoming title “Rise of the Tomb Raider”, sequel to the 2013 franchise reboot.
The CGI trailer showcases series protagonist Lara Croft scaling an icy mountain as it shakes apart, only to reach the entrance to a tomb in the rock. She lights a flare, and prepares to continue onward. Narrated by Camilla Luddington, who will reprise her voice acting role from the previous title, Lara describes how her life now revolves around the thrill of discovery.
We will no doubt see more of Rise of the Tomb Raider at E3, hopefully with lots of actual game play footage.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is scheduled for release during the 2015 holiday season and will be available on both Xbox platforms as an exclusive, with Nixxes Software is handling the development of the Xbox 360 version.
It should be noted that while Microsoft is listed as a publisher alongside Square Enix, it has been reported that Xbox exclusivity is only for a limited time.
