Just a few days ahead of E3 2015, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics has graced us with another preview for their upcoming title “Rise of the Tomb Raider”, sequel to the 2013 franchise reboot. The CGI trailer showcases series protagonist Lara Croft scaling an icy mountain as it shakes apart, only to reach the entrance to a tomb in the rock. She lights a flare, and prepares to continue onward. Narrated by Camilla Luddington, who will reprise her voice acting role...
A new trailer was just released showing off “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” a new installment into the Tomb Raider reboot series that Square Enix brought us last year. The trailer shows our young Tomb Raider, Lara Croft, talking to a therapist trying to come back in to the world. In between scenes of her talking to her therapist we saw what the young raider had been up to in her years since the hidden island, hunting down Raiders and eventually ending up in a...
We are quite late with this but here it is, LevelSave’s Game of the Year. Last year, we did a podcast in which some of us argued for our favorite games and that’s how we got our GOTY. This year, we decided to try something slightly different. We had our writers vote on their top six games. The games that were voted on the most, made it to the next round. We voted again with the three games that got the most votes getting GOTY honors. Just like last year...

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics today announced Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at the VGX. The definitive edition of Tomb Raider has been rebuilt and remade completely for the next-generation consoles by adding TessFX to Lara Crofts hair and increasing the graphics to 1080p. The definitive edition also includes all of the DLC released throughout the lifetime of the game including multiplayer maps, skins for Lara Croft, and extra...
Want to play one of the most surprisingly fantastic games of this year? Then stop lollygagging and go pick up Tomb Raider on Steam. Or, while you are there, just pick up every Tomb Raider for an extra $4. Yes, every Tomb Raider game (with the exception of Guardian of Light) for only $14. Damn it feels good to be a gamer. Tomb Raider was one of those games that came out of left field for me. I had heard it was good, but I was woefully unprepared for its excellence. Maybe it...
That title is pretty much the summation of this entire article. Now before you start in on me, please understand that I am not speaking about the “quality” of any game. I am also not speaking to the price a game costs to make, which has obviously gone up. Nor am I about to tell you that you should pirate games; that is bad for the industry and illegal. And finally, I am not about to harp on about how every game should be free to play, because they should not. So what am...
Tomb Raider is a name that, for many, is synonymous with controversy in the gaming universe. Most men will think sexy and most women will think over-sexualized. Crystal Dynamics has set out to change that with its latest iteration of Lara Croft. Our titular tomb raider Lara Croft no longer wears the impractical booty shorts of yesteryear and nor are her breasts humorously disproportionate. This tomb raider is the soft and fragile city girl from current days. She’s not on...
How did I just manage to miss these all these months? I’ve spent the better part of my day today watching and then rewatching the Tomb Raider “Guide to Survival” series of videos. They’re amazing – and they’re all below. The first video details the basic gameplay you’ll find in Tomb Raider, including the climbing axe and the bow and arrow. What I played at PAX Prime in August of 2012 had me relying heavily on the Bow and Arrow to...
Twenty-Thirteen. The year hasn’t given us many hints on what games it may hold for us, but there’s already quite a good list of it’s releases. It took me quite a bit of thought to organize this list, simply because of the fact that while we don’t know everything that will be coming our way this year, we do know quite a lot.
