Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX coming to PS3

Written by Chris Lock

As if I needed a reason to play Kingdom Hearts again.

Square Enix recently announced Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, yes that is the full title, is coming to Japan PS3s March 4th 2013. The games included have received an HD uprezzing and trophy support. So far no PAL release has been announced but judging by the size of the Kingdom Hearts fan base, I would be willing to bet we will hear something soon.

The 1.5 ReMIX includes three Kingdom Hearts games, all within the same chronology, so don’t worry about that. Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, which is Kingdom Hearts 1 with added content, including an extra boss fight with an organization XIII member. Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, which was originally released as a GBA game and later received a full PS2 upgrade from sprites to polygons. The game is wildly different from the rest of the series as everything, including combat, revolves around a card system. And Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Dayswhich follows the story of Roxas and his brief time in organization XIII. That last one is ridiculed for the atrocious name it bears, however, it is just as solid as the other two.

I am excited well beyond what I should be considering I have played all of these games at least three times through. These trailers and screenshots are not helping either.
