What Microsoft started earlier this year, its Games with Gold Xbox Live Gold Member bonus will continue with the launch of the Xbox One. Originally intended for the Xbox 360, Microsoft had to have seen the obvious need to compete with Sony’s PS+.
The difference so far with both services, is that while Games with Gold has offered older games to their gold members. Playstation Plus has offered much newer and much bigger titles. Not to mention that Sony’s awesome service also extends to the Playstation Vita. With one amazing service now extending to three of Sony’s platforms, Microsoft needs to step up the quality of games they are offering. Or, maybe they can continue to tweak the achievements into something players can actually use.
