Xbox One Becomes Xbox 180 With Removal of DRM

It appears the loud minority we call the internet has not fallen on deaf ears, Microsoft today announced it will be taking a step back with it’s once every 24 hours internet check in, but at a cost.

Coming with the removal of a 24 hour check to play games is the removal of two of the most compelling features the console had: the ability to share your games with up to ten “family members” in a shared library, and the ability to play your disc games on any Xbox One without needing the disc. Now, Xbox One games must be inserted to play. This is the part that kills me. Microsoft was building a truly revolutionary future, with the ability to never insert your disc again. You could seamlessly swap between games within a moments notice… not any more.
