Ubisoft Impresses with Cinematic Trailers

Written by Lauren Puga

Sometimes game trailers are so great that the games they’re promoting really don’t stand a chance to live up to them. (Dead Island, anyone?) Hopefully that isn’t the case with Ubisoft’s upcoming titles though, because at E3 today they showed off some of the best trailers in recent memory. Check out a few of our favorites below.

The Division

After showcasing a multiplayer demo at the Xbox event, Ubisoft gave their upcoming title, The Division, even more screen time when they premiered a brand new CGI trailer.

Thanks to some gorgeous time-lapse cinematography and excellent voice acting, the trailer tells a story of loss and decay that definitely communicates the post-apocalyptic feel Ubisoft is going for.

Assassin’s Creed Unity

There’s really no such thing as too much Assassin’s Creed and the new cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Unity just proves that. Set smack in the middle of the French Revolution, the trailer gives you a glimpse of not only your targets,  but at your fellow assassins.

Also, who knew the Storming of Bastille and a Tears for Fears cover by Lorde would result in such a gorgeous trailer?

Valiant Hearts

On a very different note from the last two games,  UbiArt’s Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a puzzle adventure game inspired by letters written during WWI.

Pretty much everyone on my Twitter timeline was in tears when this trailer ended, so keep some tissues nearby.
