Trials Evolution Hits 500,000 Players in One Month

Written by Kenny Rioux

Yesterday, Ubisoft and Redlynx had announced that their rage and hate stimulator game, Trials Evolution, had amassed a whopping 500,000 people when it got released on Xbox Live Arcade a month ago. This is not surprising, especially considering Trials HD released three years ago was until recently, the best selling XBLA game of all time. So in addition to breaking controllers the 500,000 mark, Redlynx wanted to share that their user created content portion called Track Central has been blowing up. Here is what Redlynx Creative Director Antti Ilvessuo had to say

.“We spent two years developing the tools. In less than a month, users have created more than 60,000 levels, including both high quality Trials levels and extremely innovative, creative skill games that have truly amazed us.  And this is just the start:  The editor is extremely powerful and users are still learning it.  It’s hard to even imagine what we will be seeing in the near future!”

If you want to read why Trials Evolution is awesome, check out Austin Griffith’s glowing review on the game. As far as the Track Central stuff, some of the tracks have been absolutely mind-blowing (and a few that have been broken, but in a hilarious way). Now if it hasn’t happened yet, could someone please make a recreation of the bike scene from The Matrix Reloaded?

Get ready to see that number in the top left a fair bit on the Flatliner courses

If you hate yourself Trials Evolution is available now for Xbox Live Arcade.
