There is an independent French developer by the name of Brain Candy that has geared up its efforts for the beta of their upcoming game called Fray. Fray is a turn based squad, strategy game with a sci-fi motif that is scheduled for release for summer. Until then, you can check out the beta, for the low price of $20 bucks! Let me clarify, by purchasing the game in advance, you get access to the beta that is out now. Along with getting a beta key, you also get a free copy to give to a friend to also enjoy. Sounds a bit Minecraftian, no? Also any experience you accumulate over the course of the beta will transfer over to your save when the game is released proper. The game itself has you playing for 3 different factions called “Corporations” that you can fight for. You will get control of a squad of 4, with 6 classes to choose from. Each class is categorized under Heavy, Medium, and Light armor. This game currently has only two modes, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, with more modes to be implemented as the game comes along.
