Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection finally has a release date and a price, according to the Playstation Blog. This must-have collection will be available to fans and newcomers to the series alike on July 9th, 2013 and all for the very reasonable price of $49.99. This collection includes every cannon Metal Gear release to ever grace a Playstation platform in one neat little package. Players will have the chance to start their journey from Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and follow that path all the way to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The early titles will also have VR missions that will put players into the legendary shoes of Gray Fox.
Along with all of this incredible content, the package will contain a 100 page art book with rare marketing art from around the world. As if that wasn’t enough, Ashley Wood’s digital graphic novels for MGS 1 and 2 will be included. These graphic novels are being made available outside of Japan for the first time ever and really offer a great chance for newcomers to get up to speed on the story without playing through the first two titles.
