Written by Barry Villatoro

Today the official announcement by EA has come, Mass Effect 3 will have mulitplayer, the Galaxy at War system. You’ll decide the fate of the galaxy as one of six classes and one of six races : Human, Krogan, Asari, Drell, Salarian and Turian. You and upto three of your friends will assume the role of a galactic elite Special Forces unit sent to protect resources that will aid in the battle against the galaxy destroying Reapers.

Also noted in the press release is the fact that the Galaxy at War system referes to a “suite of Mass Effect games an applications.” Maybe iPhone and Facebook games and apps? EA says that, “Progress made in each of the components of the system, including the new multiplayer mode, will directly link back to the player’s main campaign.” Exactly how it will link back is still to be scene… *cue creepy space music*
