June’s Free Games Make PS+ A Must Have

Written by James Pope

June Playstation Plus Games

June’s free games have been announced and Playstation Plus subscribers have to be salivating at the news. While there are huge games coming to the Instant Game Collection, we are also seeing some big titles being dropped from the list as well. In what is probably the shortest stay on the free games list, Sleeping Dogs will be leaving on June 4th followed by a mass exit on the 11th. June 11th will see Closure, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, inFAMOUS 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2 all leaving after lengthy stays in the collection. Five PS3 games and two vita games are leaving the free landscape, but we are seeing some huge titles be added in to take their place. Starting on June 4th we will all be getting Deus Ex: Human Revolution for free along with discounts for Portal 2 and Grid 2. Although they have not announced the order in which we are getting the other free titles this month, fans are already itching to get all of them downloaded. Saints Row the Third is by far the shining star of the month, this over the top sandbox title has been revered by critics and gamers alike. Throw in a compelling PSN title in Machinarium and June’s free games might very well be the best release that we’ve seen thus far.

Initially it appeared that Orc Attack was coming for free on the PS Vita, but it has been announced later that this was a mistake and the game has since been removed from the blog post. Although this is a sad development gamers need not worry, there is more to come in the month of June. While they have not released specifics as of yet, it was announced that there is more to come throughout the month for Plus subscribers. With all of June’s Free Games and more to come throughout the month, there has never been a better time to jump into Playstation Plus.

  • I think the shining star of this month is definitely Zero Escape. I have only heard amazing things about it and never see it discounted while I can get Saints Row 3 for $5-10 very easily.

    • That’s the great thing about this months lineup! There is something for everyone! I have yet to play all of the games coming for PS3 download. I wish I had a Vita so I could try Zero Escape.

      • Yeah, it is really cool. I can’t wait to see what games they add later this month at E3 to replace last years E3 PS+ games.
