I Am Alive: Rules of Survival

The latest trailer of I Am Alive gives us a few hints as to what the gameplay will entail. We learn some simple things like “Dust is poison” and “Get out of it.” Then there are the more subtle things that we can look at like the Grappling Hook that is shown for a quick second. While climbing is sure to be a big part of this game the Hook brings up the thought of a item barred adventure game, like Castlevania, where you have to backtrack after receiving an item. The mention of a map seems to add to this theory as well since is clearly shows some things being blocked off.

The one thing that does bother me is the protagonists mention of giving things to people in need. While I would love to give to those in need, this droplet of information screams fetch quest. The trailer even mentions that you will not need the stuff you come across. The last thing I want in my deserted utopia game is someone asking me for “Three gold teeth from them mutants over yonder.” I Have been excited for this game for a long time, please Ubisoft, do not fail me now.
