Rockstar Games has today blown our minds again, with the unveiling of Grand Theft Auto Online. It’s a constant and persistant online world that is always there for you. Think of it like a single player game of Grand Theft Auto V, but with friends – because that’s exactly what it is. You jump right into the world by switching to your character straight in the single player game. Grand Theft Auto Online combines the best things of Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, and almost every great game of this generation to create an amazing experience.
Grand Theft Auto Online allows you to do everything you can do in the single player, but with friends. Rob a bank, steal an armored car full of cash, rob a liquor store, then go out and buy a jet for you and your friends – it’s all available to you.
While Grand Theft Auto Online doesn’t launch until October 1st – no doubt to stop players from completely blowing off the Single Player Campaign and playing only multiplayer – it does come free with every single copy of Grand Theft Auto V.
Never a big fan of GTA. This has almost certainly guaranteed a purchase from me.
Holy jeez, I want this now. Basically a GTA MMO, I can get behind this.
