It has been quite some time (well over a year) since the last F’in Saved. I thought I could bring it back from time to time as I had funny thoughts. This one came from a discussion the team had about spending money on Free-to-Play games. Turns out it is super easy to do on “accident.” Anyway, if you like this be sure to let us know in the comments.
There are times when we lament being in separate parts of the county; being closer together would greatly help in some projects that we all could do. Being close for Game of the Year discussions may result in serious bodily harm to some members of the team.
I am not sure why but Curiosity has me hooked. Every day I log on and start tapping away, collecting coins, and occasionally making dicks. The exact reasoning behind my captivation has me perplexed considering I find most iOS games to be a waste of valuable game time. Even Minecraft iOS, which I have spent way too much time in, feels like nothing more than a way to dispose of minutes. Maybe...[Read More]
So after a month hiatus F’in saved is “back.” By that I mean it will be coming as much as I can make it. As you all probably know most of the team is obsessed with zombies. We often discuss how we would survive, even when we are not recording podcasts. So this scene is… not beyond the realm of possibilities. The hardest thing about this one paneled comic was not making the ...[Read More]
So LevelSave is supposed to have a Pokemon podcast where we get real nerdy about Pokemon. It does exist, but finding the to do a podcast strictly dedicated to Pokemon is actually really hard. Because not only do I have to host, edit, and post the podcast I also have to play Pokemon all the time. If you want to survive or have a Diglett that is not laughably weak you have to put so many hours into ...[Read More]
By now I have already arrived at PAX and am probably on my way back. I really hope this did not actually happen. Oh and if the joke seems a little nonsensical just Listen to our podcast Save Game+ and you will probably understand.
I got this idea while browsing the internet for Slender related things. It seems that there has been a huge backlash against the game, calling it “lazy” and “not scary.” My mind raced to try and come up with a reason as to why people had such vitriol for this game. I eventually arrived at the conclusion that these internet tough guy’s imaginations had died long, long ...[Read More]
We all pick on Austin, and I mean we all pick on Austin. He is usually a very good sport about it and I hope he realizes that if we did not pick on him then we would not care about him. To be fair though, he asks for it. If you think my jokes are bad, try talking to Austin about anything; it will almost always end in a poop joke that makes about as much sense as Kingdom Hearts.
Give this one a bit to load guys, it is a big picture. Publicity is such a strange thing. And with the cynicism present in the gaming community today it is easy to take EA’s actions as such. I did, at least. I mean, how much damage can Mothra really do? Also, you probably noticed that this was not done in the typical Pixel Art fashion. That is because F’in Saved is not limited, in my m...[Read More]
People have joked about this for a very long time but I never really understood it. That was until I was looking for a picture of Raiden to post in association with a Metal Gear Rising video. The difference between Rising’s Raiden and MGS4’s Raiden are night and brown. Thankfully Rising is lacking the “brown filter” apparent in MGS4. Hopefully this trend continues in more g...[Read More]
Sometimes the parameters at which I allow myself to operate in can by quite a hindrance. For example, the Retro Lancer you see in the last panel. For the sake of consistency all of the characters are created in a 30X30 square. This makes sure that the same amount of detail is carried throughout, unless I make a panel dedicated to a closeup of a character or action. This also makes it hard to creat...[Read More]
But really, where are those damn rails? I got to thinking about this a while ago while playing through Pokemon Black 2. One of the additions the developers have strived to achieve is a sense of place. Meaning that objects are not just obstacles but actually make sense. The walls are covered in posters, decapitation looks believable, and there are damn rails where there should be.
