I wonder how many of you played Choplifter on the Sega Master System? Not many? Well, don’t sweat it because Choplifter is coming back in HD. The basis of Choplifter was get behind enemy lines and rescue as many surviving POW’s as possible and it still is, for the most part.
In Choplifter HD, you’ll take control of one of three choppers and head out to rescue survivors. You’ll need to be conscious of enemies, your ammo, fuel and of course trying not to land on the survivors. During Choplifter HD you’ll play as a new recruit who has just been invited to join the big league’s of chopper rescue, The International Helicopter Rescue Team.
Choplifter HD has 20 levels spread throught 4 unique environments. Throughout these levels you have your standard military rescue mission some of us remember from the original game. Then you have your not so standard, rescue the uninfected humans during a zombie apocalypse mission.
Between dodging anti-air weapons, rushing to rescue fleeing humans from infected zombies and seeing Super Meat Boy, Choplifter HD is showing some promise. Coming soon to PSN, XBLA, and Games for Windows.
