Capcom’s Newest IP, Remember Me gets a May Release Date, Screenshots and Trailers

Written by Barry Villatoro

Well didn’t we think we were in for a treat when Ubisoft revealed their newest IP at E3? Everyone loves a new game, with a fresh story, new and interesting characters, right? Well how much more blessed are we that Capcom has announced a new IP as well? During this year’s Gamescom, Capcom revealed Remember Me. Check out the announcement trailer below.

A third-person action adeventure, set in a 2084, Neo-Paris. You’ll play as Nilin, a memory hunter. Nilin, although not the only memory hunter, has the unique ability to remix a person’s memory. She can take a single memory from a person and change it. What if you remixed a person’s memory of a lover’s quarrel and made it infinitely worse? You can watch this be played out in the gameplay video below.

Nilin’s movement throughout Neo-Paris seems to take some  influence from Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted. The combat seems to be similar to the combat mechanic of the Batman: Arkham games, as well as an ability wheel is also noticed in the below video. Not to mention overloading someone with another person’s memories enough to make their head explode? Yes, please!

An exact date for Remember Me’s release has not been set. We only know that it planned release month is May of next year and it will be coming for the xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
