Bungie Unveils More Destiny Story Details, Gameplay, Alpha, White PlayStation 4, and More

Written by Austin Griffith

Bungie blew the doors of the hinges today at Sony’s 2014 E3 press conference, pulling out all the stops when it comes to news. They opened the show with an amazing trailer, showcasing how the humans found the humoungous planet sized orb that humanity named “The Traveler.” The Traveler brought with it a prosperous golden age for human kind, until an enemy that had been following it for eons, The Darkness, found it. The Darkness knocked humanity down to its knees, and had it not been for The Traveler, would of succeeded in destroying the world as we know it.destiny white ps4 e3

Your Ghost, the flying mechanism that will be your guide around Destiny and who is voiced by Peter Dinklage, tells this story in the trailer that opened Sony’s conference. Accompanied was amazing new gameplay showing tons of new environments as well as The Hive – a mysterious enemy of ours.

That’s not all Sony announced at the conference though; they also announced the first ever limited edition PlayStation 4 Model, which will be launching bundled with a copy of Destiny. The all white console will come bundled with an all white Dualshock 4 controller and a thirty-day trial of PlayStation Plus.

Sony also announced how fans of Destiny with PlayStation 4’s will be able to get their hands on the Beta – and Alpha – versions of Destiny. All PlayStation Plus owners will have access to the Destiny First Look Alpha from this Thursday until Sunday, and the beta will launch for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners four days earlier then Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners.

Bungie certainly seems to know what it’s doing with Destiny, and we’ll be getting our hands on it later this week, too. We’ll have a full impression post available to you the moment the Alpha goes live to the public on Thursday.
