Watch This Wednesday – Commodore 64 port of Super Hexagon

This remake of the phenomenal Super Hexagon, names Micro Hexagon, was ported to the Commodore 64 as part of the 2nd RGCD C64 Cartridge Development Competition. A competition which challenges you to create a functional Commodore 64 game within 6 months. More detailed info can be found here.

The video shows that this is a pretty faithful recreation, though fans of Super Hexagon may recognize several missing patterns. One thing it definitely nails is the music. Actually, I arguably like this music more than I like the original Super Hexagon’s track(s). If you too appreciate the “crunchy” nature of the port, you can find that music here.
