Ever since the game was shown at E3 2013 I have been enamored with Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. Not only is the team at PopCap taking the series in a new direction by making it a shooter of sorts, they are allowing you to bring your friends along for the ride. The title will be releasing for Xbox 360 and Xbox One on February 18 in North America and February 20 in Europe, a PC release date has not yet been announced. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare was...
Blackguards is a new turn-based tactical RPG from Daedalic Entertainment, most known for their point and click adventure games. Blackguards takes place in the pen and paper universe of The Dark Eye. The story begins with either your girlfriend (if you play as a male) or your close friend (if you play as a female), the princess being killed. During a cutscene you see that it was a wolf that took the princess’ life, but you are now being blamed for it. Even after that...
The long-awaited 1.0 release of Path of Exile, Grinding Gear Games’ unorthodox MMO ARPG, has finally gotten a launch date. After spending a long time in the murky depths of Open Beta, and with many improvements over the months to show for it, this isometric-view hack-and-slash is getting a well-deserved 1.0 launch treatment. Featuring new story-content, new game modes, and even a new class, you won’t want to miss this if you’ve ever loaded up the Beta for a...
In the first of three announcements that Valve is trotting out this week,”SteamOS’, a Linux based operating system was made public today, being touted as the answer to deliver Steam content to your home television. Valve,on their Steam website, declared that SteamOS, would “stream those games over your home network straight to your TV”. This OS will also be free, and will still include the bevy of features that Steam has made public over recent...
To call Ring Runner:Flight of the Sages an indie title is to infer a certain level of polish, a certain level of production values, and a certain amount of content, usually for an affordable price that appeals to the consumer that is more budget focused. I hesitate to call indie devs Triple B Titles’ Ring Runner an indie game because while it sports an attractive price point, it delivers so much more game than many of its contemporaries, and what is offered is a pretty...
Guncraft is an interesting game to play, let alone review. It is a game that I got early beta access to and also one that I kept my eye on from a distance. After getting my hands on the game and sinking my teeth deep into my Guncraft review… it appears that a distance might have been the best place to view this game from. The title is not without its good qualities, there are just not enough of them to keep me invested or to make me want to dump the number of hours...

Murdered: Soul Suspect, the upcoming “Ghost Detective” game from publisher Square Enix and developer Airtight Games was showcased this week at the annual Gamescom conference in Germany with a new trailer. Previously revealed at E3 2013, Soul Suspect has you taking control of Detective Ronan O’Connor, who after dying in the opening scenes of the game, has to track down his own killer as a ghostly apparition. The fact that you’re a ghost and can’t acutally...
Guacamelee has been getting rave reviews ever since it burst onto the console scene a few short months ago. Now PC players are getting a chance to get their hands on this action packed title thanks to the wonderful men and women at Steam. Guacamelee is the story of a down on his luck luchador named Juan who embarks on an incredible mission to save the woman he loves after she is kidnapped by evil forces beyond his comprehension. If the story sounds a little generic and...
