Deep Silver was able to announce that Dead Island 2 is coming to PS4 ,with a Beta and exclusive content coming down the pike. Dead Island 2 brings the zombie apocalypse to the Sunshine state, where a massive outbreak (is there any other kind?) of the zombie persuasion has occurred. This results in a complete fencing off of California, with its denizens trapped with a whole lot of brain feasters. According to a blog post by Deep Silver’s Creative Director...
The next installment in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series is Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Sony revealed the new title with a teaser trailer to close out their E3 press conference this evening. The game will be released sometime in 2015. The teaser, which was captured directly from a PS4, shows a bloodied and unconscious Nathan Drake coming to on a riverbank, before making his way into the jungle. Check out the teaser below.
In what may be the biggest surprise of the night, Sony has announced LittleBigPlanet 3 for PlayStation 4. The game will be released this November, just in time for the holidays. LittleBigPlanet 3 will once again star Sackboy, but this time around he will be joined by a cast of all new characters including Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop. It was also announced that any level created in the first two LittleBigPlanet games will be playable in the third installment, with improved...
Infamous: Second Son is getting some new DLC that will be available this August, Sony announced at their E3 press conference this evening. Titled Infamous: First Light, the DLC will star Fetch, the purple-haired, neon-powered conduit Delsin partners up with in the main game. In the last generation of consoles, there was one first person shooter that absolutely consumed me: Rainbow 6 Vegas. I devoted hours upon hours to that game. I made friends over PlayStation Network as we played against and killed each other in multiple free-for-all Survival matches. You can imagine my delight when Ubisoft showed off a multiplayer alpha demo of Rainbow Six Siege. The demo displayed a lot of the cool next-gen tricks that developers are incorporating...
Sometimes game trailers are so great that the games they’re promoting really don’t stand a chance to live up to them. (Dead Island, anyone?) Hopefully that isn’t the case with Ubisoft’s upcoming titles though, because at E3 today they showed off some of the best trailers in recent memory. Check out a few of our favorites below. The Division After showcasing a multiplayer demo at the Xbox event, Ubisoft gave their upcoming title, The Division, even...
Assassin’s Creed may have seemed like it was heading steadily towards a stale and tired single player experience. Black Flag helped change the missteps of Assassin’s Creed III and Unity looks to be pushing the gamplay experience forward even further. Set during the French Revolution, a particularly brutal period in France’s history, players can now form their own brotherhood of assassins and play cooperatively through campaing missions. In the demo...
343 has begun to release some screens from the remastered edition of Halo 2 Anniversary that we’re going to be seeing later this year, and my oh my they are just the absolute most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. These screens come courtesy of Vic Deleon, Digital Artist for the Halo series over at 343. Here we have the Prophet of Regret, looking beautifully ugly and extremely upset and intricate. And here we have Sgt. Johnson from the beginning of Halo 2...
You’re traveling on a beat up bus through the Himalayas, a wise old man across from you asks to see your passport. You pass it over to him, the monkey next to you grabbing at it. Suddenly, your bus is stopping. Gunshots are ringing out. Explosions. “What’s going on!?” you yell as an explosion knocks over the bus. Before you know it a crazy man with white crazy hair is grabbing you, telling you he’s been waiting for you. He’s killed...
The new generation of consoles is here and Sony has jumped out to an early lead. It’s clear that Microsoft has been feeling the pressure as sweeping changes were rolled out for Xbox Live and Kinect is going to be taken out of the box to lower the price to $399.99. I was looking forward to what Microsoft had in store for us in their E3 press conference and I was not disappointed. Phil Spencer came out at the beginning, with a short scripted thank you to the legion of Xbox...
