Bioware has announced that the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC will be releasing June 26th for free on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 for US users and in early July for those outside the states.
The ending of Mass Effect 3 has been a hot button issue ever since the game released earlier this year, players have complained, petitioned and begged for more answers and it seems their cries have not been in vain. Living up to their claim that they listen to their fans the DLC is set to expand upon the endings and give players more clarity and closure, no gameplay is included in this DLC and I would even venture to say that fans seeking a “new” ending will probably find disappointment in the fact that the content being released is to expand upon the events of ME3.
Hoping to see some really epic scenes, I personally cannot wait to download the content and see whats in store for my favorite franchise. Will there be a universe shattering reveal? Will I see an expanded version of the epic war taking place around me? Will all of my hard work collecting war assets be shown in some form of onscreen ass kicking? Seeing as how they have had some of the talent in doing voice recordings I have to believe it will be more than a glorified “where are they now” segment with your squadmates in cheery situations making the most of life.
June 26th we will all find out what Bioware has had up their sleeves and what truly happens to our beloved Commander Shepard and his or her loyal crew.
Hopefully this is what all those gamers wanted!
Im kinda scared to play this extended cut dlc. I just feel like it is going to make people even more angry than before but hey, at least its free
Man, I hope all the free DLC comes to the WiiU version. I don’t want to be paying when all of you get it for free.
How does DLC even work for Nintendo?
Well, on the Wii/DS it was up to developers to find a way to transfer content to you through their games. With the WiiU/3DS Nintendo has an eShop dedicated to downloadable content/games just like MS and Sony do.
Did any Wii games have DLC?
Not full DLC packs like Xbox and PS3 have gotten but there were some (Monster Hunter Tri for example) that allowed you to download extra missions ingame every week.
