[UPDATE]
Users are now reporting to us that this no longer works and that the files are self corrupting themselves, thus rendering this useless. We’ll look for a fox and update this if one becomes available.
Remember a few days ago when Microsoft broke our damn party viewing?
Well thanks to LevelSave Commenter katsuragi we have a work around to the issue. Rejoice!
First, go to Netflix.com and sign in.
Click “Your Account” in the top right corner.
Scroll down and locate “Manage Netflix Ready Devices.”
Click it.Click Disconnect Devices and Confirm your choice.
Open the Xbox Guide (Center Xbox Button,) and locate Quickplay.
Scroll two spaces to the right and find the “All” tab. Locate Netflix.
Launch Netflix…
Voila!
If you make sure to always use this quickplay method you can watch movies with friends as much as you please (although, you will be using the old Netflix app.)
Spread the word so everyone can have Happy Holidays while staying in-sync with their movie friends. (Get it?)
Happy Holidays!
Real helpful. “boo this man!!!”
I spent an hour trying to get this workaround for the old Netflix App to work using steps from a different post so I didn’t realize it didn’t work anymore. *FACEPALM*
Guess I’ll just be enjoying this view http://redd.it/o60xw until someone fixes the dang thing…sigh.
I don’t get why Microsoft would want less features for their users. Why would they be against Netflix parties via Xbox?
This no longer works. Myself and a large part of the community at Gamefaqs.com have tested it extensively and found that the Xboxs are now forcibly corrupting the old netflix file.
This doesn’t work for me! It keeps saying “Game not found. Insert the game disc or storage device, then try again.” Is there anything else I could do??
