Brick-Force Has Launched and is Ready for Action

Written by Adam Shear

Today marks the launch of a very interesting free-to-play sandbox shooter called Brick-Force.  After being in beta for some time, Brick-Force is finally available for everyone to play.  As its publisher Infernum Games claims in its press release, Brick-Force is basically Minecraft with guns.  You can create maps of your own or play in over 150,000 user created maps with friends.  Its over one million existing players along with all the new ones joining in will receive plenty of new features launching with the game including an item upgrade system and an all new user interface.  Brick-Force has plenty of modes to keep players interested such as a game mode called Build ‘n Destroy.  In this mode, two teams are separated for a short amount of time.  During this time, players create what their side of the map will look like using blocks.  After strategically creating barricades and towers, the wall in the center falls down, allowing you to go and attack the other team.

I recently spoke with Nick Zasowski, a member of Infernum Games’ community management team, who left me these comments which gives you guys a better idea of what Brick-Force is all about:

Brick-Force is really great in the sense that you are essentially getting two games in one – for free!  We have a robust Build mode to create all sorts of maps and a Shooter mode with all of the classic FPS game modes – Team and Solo Deathmatch CTF, Defusion and our newest, Build and Destroy, which combines elements of both shooting and building in one match.  We’ve had great support from the community with nearly one million registered users in the beta and over 150,000 maps created.  And launch doesn’t mean we’re stopping. We have a planned mobile version of the game for Build mode and we’re planning a new game mode along with lots of new “themed” bricks.

Brick-Force is available right now!  PC users have the option of downloading a client to play on or just using their web browser.  Mac and Linux users will have no choice but to use the browser.  Just go to Brick-Force.com to register and play today!
