Best of Playstation Network Vol. 1 is coming to store shelves this summer. Sony has announced that this is the first in a line of PSN collections to be released and they have certainly come out of the gates swinging. The package will include 4 of the most beloved download-only titles that the system has released to date. Each of the titles has earned its spot on this list as well as some very prestigious awards. The winner of the 2012 Playstation Blog Editors Choice award was given to When Vikings Attack! This third-person title puts players and their friends in the shoes of a gang of everyday folks trying to fight off swarms of vikings as they invade their town. The title features Ps3-PS Vita cross-buy and cross-play, however there is no indication is the Vita versions will be included in this package.

Next up is the Playstation Blogs pick for 2012 PS Vita PSN only Game of the Year, Sound Shapes. This classic 2D platformer mixes music and art together to forge a fun and challenging atmosphere. Sound Shapes also boasts a level creator that players can use to create their own unique music. Being that this was voted as the PS Vita Game of the Year, it would be nice to see the Vita version included. With two already incredible titles included one might think that this collection was going to be rounded out with some lesser titles. Think again, the Best of Playstation Network has even more in store!

Tokyo Jungle came in a respectable fourth in last years voting for PS3 PSN Game of the Year. Featuring a Tokyo totally devoid of human life, you play as one of 50 different animals vying for power over the city. The streets are a tough place to be whether you’re playing in story or survival mode and surrounding yourself with a pack is your only means of survival. It has been said so many times before, but we have certainly saved the best for last. The last title included in the package did not boast any awards or accolades, but then again Fat Princess doesn’t really need to. This arcade style title has won the hearts of so many that she is one of the very few PSN stars who were featured in the PS3 title, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

The bundle will be available June 25th 2013 for $39.99, which would save you nearly $15 versus downloading all the titles individually.
