Batman: Arkham Knight is arguably the title I’m most excited for this year, and Rocksteady games isn’t helping to alleviate that fact with this awesome new trailer. Showing off the new Grand Theft Auto V inspired “dual play” mechanic, Arkham Knight will allow you to take control of Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing, in a variety of settings. Judging by the trailer, it looks like we’ll be able to string together combos and fights with at least two characters at a time.
Sure beats a ten second animation of cats scattering to take over Catwoman.
Rocksteady also announced a new season pass for Arkham Knight. Fans who drop the extra $40 on the game can expect to receive “new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks”
Interesting to note that they say race tracks, maybe implying a multiplayer racing element of the game?
Either way, fans who plan to pay a minimum of $100 for the game will receive those bits of gameplay throughout the six months after launch. Value conscious gamers can also grab the Digital Premium Edition for $99.99, a total savings of nothing whatsoever.
Either way, Batman: Arkham Knight launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 23rd 2015.
