Alien: Isolation Bursts Out This October

Written by Matt Curione

Today at the United Kingdom based gaming expo EGX Rezzed, Creative Assembly announced the release date for the upcoming Alien: Isolation. Prepare to soil yourself with fear on October 7th on PS4 and Xbox One as well as on PC and last-gen consoles. October has historically been a good time to release a horror game, what with Halloween right around the corner.

20140329-115246.jpg As reported earlier, Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game that acts as a direct sequel to the original 1979 Ridley Scott film. Creative Assembly has clearly gone to great lengths to capture the tone and dread of the original film with time period accurate sets and by sticking to the original H.R. Giger design of the Xenomorph. This remains one of the most anticipated releases of the year and none of the footage that’s been released seems to damper that excitement. It looks like gamers might finally get the terrifying Alien game they’ve been wanting this October.
