World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Release Date Announced!

Finally! A Release date for the fourth expansion of WoW has arrived! Mists of Pandaria will be release on September 25. The fourth expansion brings tides of war to the shores of a long-lost continent. The game will be available in stores and online starting on September 25, 2012. Upon the expansion’s release, explorers of the Alliance and the Horde will be able to set foot upon the shores of the long-lost continent of Pandaria and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover its ancient mysteries.

Mists of Pandaria will be available on DVD-ROM for Windows XP/Windos Vista/Windows 7 and Macintosh at a suggested retail price of $39.99. The expansion will also be available digitally directly from Blizzard’s World of Warcraft website, also priced at $39.99. A special Collector’s Edition packed with bonus items will be available exclusively in retail stores for a suggested retail price of $79.99.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will include the following new features:

  • New Class: Monk
  • Level Cap raised to Lvl 90
  • New Race: Pandaren
  • New Map: Pandaria

There will also be a Digital Deluxe edition only available through the World of Warcraft website which will include a Imperial Quilen mount and a Lucky Quilen Cub pet. Also include in this package will be a Diablo III Banner Sigil and Accent, and a StarCraft II Portraits of the Horde and the Alliance.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will be priced at $59.99. As far as the Retail Collector’s Edition, this is what it will be included:

  • Behind-the-scene DVD and Blu-ray
  • Collector’s Edition Soundtrack CD
  • The Art of Mists of Pandaria Book
  • Chen Stormstout Mouse Pad
  • As well as all the In-Game bonuses from the Digital Deluxe Edition
