The Secret World – Pre-Order Bonuses!

Written by Raven Poplar

The much-anticipated Funcom MMO, The Secret World, is now accepting pre-orders. This game is set up to be an MMO experience like none other that I’ve currently seen before. You take control of a modern-day hero with various skills and powers, you choices are many and you character is fully customizable. This contemporary setting stands out in that everything, every nightmare and zephyr-dream, every secret organization, every myth and origin, is true. You will run through an immersive storyline which threads through this ever-changing universe. I eagerly await the release of this game.

I mentioned pre-orders before. With a pre-purchase of the game, you are entitled to take part in every beta weekend from the time of purchase to the launch of the game. This offers a unique perspective on character creation (as beta characters are usually erased upon launch) and will have you ready to hit the ground running upon release. And run.. Quickly!

Pre-ordered accounts will not only receive access to the beta weekends, but will also get early access to the main servers (up to four days early!) and a couple in-game gifts and goodies to bolster you against the long, dark night of The Secret World.

Gamers who pre-order The Secret World will receive:

  • Guaranteed access to all Beta Weekends starting May 11, with the ability to carry over their characters to every subsequent event
  • Guaranteed Early Access to the game, up to four days prior to the game’s official launch
  • An exclusive in-game item providing an experience boost to progression
  • An exclusive in-game t-shirt featuring a unique monster design
  • A powerful pet (Ferocious Wolf, Egyptian Cat or Loyal Hound) to support the player in combat
  • A head start on character naming before the game launches

So if you plan on playing this game anyway, and I’m honestly pretty excited to do just that, picking up the pre-order is simply a smart move.

The Secret World is available on PC and packages run from $14.99 USD for basic access to $199.99 USD for a lifetime subscription.
