Grand Theft Auto V Launch Date Announced, Joy and Sadness for All

Written by Barry Villatoro

This morning Take-Two Interactive announced the official release date of GTAV. There was a moment of, “Yes! A release date!” That led into, “No! It’s been pushed back!” GTAV was originally supposed to launch in the spring, but now the official release date is September 17th.

The reason for this is to give the game some more time in development as the devs try to get right the “brand new and ambitious approach to open world multiplayer.”

Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games said, “Grand Theft Auto V continues to push the series forward in new ways; Rockstar North are creating our deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet. We are very excited for people to learn more about the game in the coming months.”

Usually, if I’m extremely excited for a game and then it gets delayed. I’m quite alright with it. It tends to let me know that the final product will be more polished. So instead of sadness, let’s have joy. Joy knowing that GTAV has an official release date and joy expecting the final product to be polished.
