Among the slew of awards given out each year in the 100s of categories from 100s of sites, shows and podcasts there are a very select few that i looked to when I would consider who was the overall game of the year. With The Walking Dead bringing home the GOTY award from the Spike TV VGAs being announced last week It was X-plays turn to tell us who brought home the award in their eyes.
The field for GOTY included Journey, Halo 4, Assassins Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Bordelands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, The Witcher II: Enhanced Edition and Hitman Absolution. Gearbox President and CEO Randy Pitchford was on with Morgan Webb and Blair Herter to accept the award.
