Bethesda shows new DOOM campaign gameplay

I just watched a man force an alien to curb stomp itself with it’s own foot. This is great. Bethesda today at their E3 conference showed off some beautifully impressive gameplay of their new DOOM title.

Running on ID Software’s ID6 engine, the short demo showed us some new weapons, mainly of the shotgun variety, as well as some sweet, sweet, executions.

We saw specifically two types of shotguns, a pulse rifle, and an auto rifle. Our hero picked up some sort of “echo” device, which gave him a holographic play-by-play of a soldiers final moments, before watching the man be ripped in half by a brutish alien.

Later, a chainsaw game in to play, sawing through alien arms, hand,s bodies, and guns with ease. One finisher had our character ripping
