Transformers Prime coming to the Wii and 3DS

Written by Barry Villatoro

So there’s a current Transformers cartoon currently running on The Hub network and Transformers Prime is based off of it. My first question is why none of my “friends” told me about this, but that’s a different story. Anyways, Hasbro and Activision have teamed up to bring us the latest in Transformers video games. This newest installment is coming to the Wii and 3DS with no definite release date as of yet. You’ll of course try to stop Megatron and his “secret weapon” as you take control of one of five Autobots; Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet and Bulkhead.

Transformers Prime is described as having “brawler-style combat and diverse driving sequences” and you’ll also meet Jack, Miko and Raf from the show.

“Hasbro Studios has done a phenomenal job with the TRANSFORMERS PRIME television show,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing.  “We are collaborating closely with the series creators to capture all the adventure, humor and friendships from the show to create an authentic action experience for TRANSFORMERS fans of all ages to enjoy.”

“Hasbro is thrilled to be working with Activision again on an exciting new TRANSFORMERS video game,” said Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President of Digital Media and Marketing at Hasbro.  “TheTRANSFORMERS PRIME animated series has resonated strongly with kids and fans and we’re looking forward to delivering this new way to experience the adventure.”
