The Xbox One is Real: Here Are Its Specs

Written by Austin Griffith

The Xbox One is here, and with it hath come its specs. Below we’ve listed all of the specs Microsoft has made available to us.

  • 5 Billion Transistors – what does this even mean? I’ve never heard this spec used anywhere, so maybe it’s just a big number to get our attention.
  • 8GB of RAM – This is amazing. Considering the Xbox 360 had only 512 MB of RAM, this is an amazing improvement that’s sure to give us better games and performance all around.
  • BluRay Player – Finally, Sony can’t taunt us with that one anymore. In all seriousness though, it seems like we’ll finally be getting rid of multi-disc games.
  • An all new architecture – The Xbox One will utilize a combination of two architectures. The Xbox One has it’s own unique 64 bit architecture while being combined seamlessly with the Kernel of Windows 8 USB 3.0.
  • The New Kinect Sensor that’s now paired with every Xbox One is the biggest improvement of them all. The Kinect (herein referred to as Kinect 2.0) has just one eye on it’s beautiful little face, packing in it a 30FPS Color camera that allows you to record in 1080p for everything from Skype and more.
