PSA: Xbox Live Update Today To Address Color Issues In Video Playback

Written by Nick Deuel

Just a heads up folks, today Microsoft is rolling out an update on the Xbox Live service. While minor the update does address the issue that gamers have been complaining about since the release of the latest console update in the fall. Ever since the release of the Metro style and apps this past December users have reported issues with the color space in video playback. This problem has been recorded in many of the new video apps that were released recently.

“This update will increase performance and is part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Xbox LIVE experience. In this update, we are providing a fix to a color issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard. The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox LIVE, which we expect to roll out over the coming months.” Quote from Xbox Live’s Major Nelsons personal blog.

As per the usual users will have to download the update before access to Xbox Live is allowed. Users currently on Xbox live may be prompted to sign out and download the update. Stay tuned to Levelsave as this story develops.
