For the first time you will be able to choose a neutral character that does not have to be good or evil because of his or her race. War of the Worlds is on it’s way to a Xbox 360 near you. Arriving on XBLA next week on Oct 26th for 800 MSP ($10.00). It’s a 2D side-scroller narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart. The story will run parallel of the 1953 movie adaptation of the original H.G. Wells story. Though taking on a new character with a new storyline, charcters and locations. It should quickly remind you of two great games that I love, Out of This World and Flashback. You’ll take...
Recently, a new trailer that goes more in-depth to the fighting system of Streetfighter X Tekken, more specifically the game’s Gem System, has come out.The Gem System is a way of customizing characters to your fighting style and while also giving you the ability to power-up during a fight. If there’s one golden rule to follow in the gaming world, it’s this: If it started as a movie, don’t play it. If it started as a game, don’t watch it. If you don’t understand that, it basically means don’t play movie games and dont watch game movies. The reason this tulle holds up is because video games based on movies tend to fail each and every time they’re attempted. Real Steel set out to destroy this gaming commandment...
Immediately after I started up Guardian Heroes, I was sucked back into my childhood. I fondly remembered a time when I could find arcade machines everywhere. From my local comic book store, even to the grocery store down the street. There was one machine I longed to see though, that was the Neo-Geo. Oh, to bask in it’s warm, soft glow. If you remember that machine like I do, then you remember that it housed some the best 2D side-scrollers of it’s time. My...

Well I know what month is going to be tight financially. February 22nd is when the Playstation Vita will hit Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and (via Destructoid) the United states as well. The wifi only model will cost 250$ and the 3G model, the one you do not want, will cost 300$. No word as to what the international release dates for the games are but seeing as how Japan will supposedly have 26 games at launch I can only assume the international release will...
RocketBirds: Hardboiled Chicken is a blend of shooting, puzzles, and great music. It stars a shotgun wielding, bandana toting, super buff chicken with a one goal, kill the penguin overlord. Normally this premise is something that I would laugh heartily at but not in this game, RocketBirds is serious business. There is humor in the game to be sure, but every major story scene is a filled with visions of war and oppression that, in spite of the games chickeny nature...
