3AM Games (an offshoot of Frogware, best known for their Sherlock Holmes adventure games) and Gamesplanet Lab (a new crowdfunding and digital distribution platform) have teamed up to bring us a Magrunner – Dark Pulse. My first peek at the videos and screenshots reminds me of both Portal (Valve cult hit gone viral) and Running Man (an 80’s Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.) The game starts off with the protagonist, named Yoshi, and his robotic dog Newton in the...
Adventures of Shuggy is a puzzle/platformer with the heart of a casual game.
The Walking Dead Episode 2 started off with one hell of a bang. It immediately punched me in the face and reminded me how terrible the zombie apocalypse actually is. I am trying desperately to help but the zombies are approaching, my ammo is gone, and I am left violently swinging my ax. In the end, I could not help anyone and things might actually be worse now. As everybody walks back into camp I am left wondering what I could have done better, if I actually even had a...

Probably the least popular game at the Wii U Experience event in New York was a new karaoke game called SiNG, developed by Freestyle Games, the makers of DJ Hero. It makes sense why nobody wanted to play SiNG. Put a bunch of introverted nerds in a room and everyone is gonna stay away from the singing game. Luckily, I am not an introverted nerd, I’m an extroverted professional. I had no problem getting up and trying SiNG on Wii U. Here is what I thought. What makes SiNG...

25 years ago Carrier Command was enthralling gamers with its intense strategy gameplay, and now its back and better than ever. This re-imagination of the original takes this game to heights players of the original probably never dreamed possible when they played it in the 80s. Players will use the traditional strategy interface to create, ship and deploy multiple types of fleets to over 30 different islands who host 6 different climates. Island positioning is one of the...

We have all had this debate, Mew vs. Mewtwo, Groudon vs. Kyogre, Shaymin vs. Uxie. Actually I am sure that almost all of you have never had this debate with anyone, ever. But for the few, and quite possibly insane, of us that have argued over these questions Nintendo has the solution. A full on battle to the faint! An official bracket tournament has been set up to determine the greatest Legendary Pokemon from generation 1 through 4. Currently there is preliminary fighting...
