Many were worried when THQ went bankrupt that Saints Row may never again see the light of day. A sigh of relief was breathed when Koch Media, better known as Deep Silver, purchased both Volition and the Saints Row franchise. Soon after, that sigh turned into a huzzah, at least for me it did, when the release date trailer was… released. The story goes that you, The Boss, have been elected president of the U.S. when aliens attack. The aliens put you inside a virtual...
Before Duke Nukem blasted into the future with Duke Nukem 3D, he was in several side scrolling games, Duke Nukem 1 and Duke Nukem 2. While DN1 was a perfectly fine game, DN2 is where Duke started being Duke. Aliens, rocket ships, explosive guns, yeah, Duke Nukem through and through. And now, thanks to 3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment, you can play Duke Nukem 2 on iOS. According to Interceptor’s website the iOS post will include- Key Features – Smooth Side...
Fans of the Anomaly series are probably kicking themselves if they didn’t take the opportunity to pre-order the “secret game” that 11 Bit Studios has been hinting at for over a month now. Ever since I watched the demo that was shown off at Gamescon I have been dying to get my hands on the latest installment in the Army of TWO series. The announcement that Visceral Games was taking over development and the fact that the game will be using the Frostbite 2 engine showed me that this series was making a huge push to be considered a top flight title. Luckily for myself and gamers the world over we didn’t have to wait until the March 26th release date to...

They land around the inner perimeter and the premise is to turn and stack these blocks within the hexagon matching each color to eliminate them. If you do, you level up. If you fail to do so and your stack reaches back to the middle it is game over for you! While this little game may be simple to...
PAX, and other gaming events, can be fun and exciting, but dangerous. Not only do you have to deal with the physical strain on your nerdy body, but there is a biological war going on every time you step into the convention center. I have been on both sides of several conventions, not all of them gaming, and have a few tips to keep your pain to a minimum and your enjoyment to a maximum. These are specifically aimed at PAX but several could be used for any type of...
If you are anything like me you are probably wondering what bears, owls and other creatures have to do with space. With one look at the video released for StarDrive it becomes apparent that the answer is… everything. Former divorce lawyer Daniel DiCicco quit his long-standing career to follow his dream and develop the game that he had always wanted to play. A risk that not many people would have taken, DiCicco not only succeeded but has done so in a way that not...
I absolutely love seeing videos like the one below. Austin Wintory, composer of the breathtaking soundtrack from Journey, tweeted this video out not long ago. I watched it and believed it had to be shared. You may know ViolinTay from many of her other videos. She has many videos displaying her amazing talent, where she plays themes from different video games. This video is absolutely beautiful. Just watch it. Subscribe to her YouTube channel here.
